Powers
McElhone's life-long
study of voice, piano and music theory included several years of professional
music workshops in Manhattan before she deserted the arts for a corporate
career. Recently she returned to music, working again with her early partners:
lyricist Janet Cohen, composers Steve Lewis and Robert W. Miles, and with
new collaborators, Varick Bacon and John Wallowitch. Several of her songs
have been performed in cabaret and elsewhere. |
